Metro King in Burnaby is a 66-storey mixed-use tower proposed by Anthem Properties for the former Cactus Club Cafe location on Kingsway. It is to consist of 372 condominiums, 200 market rental apartments, and 73 non-market rental apartments set above a 9-storey commercial podium. The podium will contain a double-height ground floor restaurant and cafe facing Kingsway, 3-storey strata townhomes along Hazel Street, and seven floors of office space. As one of the tallest buildings in Metro Vancouver, the height will allow for maximum views in all directions, especially towards the North Shore mountains, and downtown Vancouver. Six levels of underground parking will contain 716 vehicle stalls. Over 22,000 sq ft of amenities will be segregated into separate commercial, market residential, market rental, and below-market rental spaces.
